Mission and Vision

Partridge Creek Compost

Our Mission

We aim to reduce food waste going to the landfill, improve soil health in our region, and educate our community about the environmental and social benefits of composting.

Our Story

Partridge Creek Compost is a nonprofit which aims to reduce food waste going to the landfill, improve soil health in our county, and educate our community about the environmental and social benefits of composting. From curbside compost collections to creating a high quality finished compost product, we’re here to change the course of food waste diversion for our region.

Originally stemming from Partridge Creek Farm, Partridge Creek Compost established itself as a separate non-profit in 2023. While our missions differ in scope, both organizations share a common commitment to environmental stewardship, community engagement and dedication to a robust interconnected local food system.

Building a Better Future Together

What would it look like to build a system where waste doesn't exist?

Where we use what we have, and make something new with what we don't need?

Partridge Creek Compost envisions and is actively building just that.

We're creating the opportunity for our community to have easy access to food waste diversion and high quality soil to grow more food.

Check out how we're building this capacity in real time at our composting site.
